Regional Procurement Manager, London Housing Consortium (LHC)

The Procurement Act will enter force in February 2025 (previously October 2024), heralding the next generation of public procurement, with new rules, new approaches and a renewed commitment to transparency and fairness.

The UK Government’s National Public Procurement Statement (NPPS) also made clear that contracting authorities must consider social value outcomes in their procurements, including the creation of new businesses, jobs and skills, improving supplier diversity and tackling climate change and reducing waste.

This will mean suppliers must learn how to hardwire social value into their tenders, and understand how buyers will evaluate and measure social value in their contract notices, and leverage them to support priority national and local outcomes for the public benefit.

This free webinar from March 2024 explained the changes impacting upon social value requirements, and what this will mean for suppliers working in the public and housing sectors.

With exclusive insights from Paul Smith, Regional Procurement Manager at LHC (London Housing Consortium), this webinar will help existing and new suppliers to the public and housing sectors interpret the key points of the NPPS and understand how to meet social value requirements in the post-Procurement Act landscape.

LHC is a leading non-profit purchasing consortium that provides best value, compliant procurement solutions for the refurbishment and maintenance of social housing, schools and other public sector buildings in England, Wales and Scotland.
